Emerging Nations Championship: Nigeria Loses To Great Britain, Face Andorra

Nigeria's U24 male Handball team Lost its 5th placement game 30-20 to Great Britain in the ongoing Emerging Nations Championship in Varna, Bulgaria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In a game played at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna, Bulgaria, the national under-24 male handball team, started the game on a promising note leading the game 5-1 but could sustain the result as they succumbed to pressure from the British team to win 14-11.

The second half pretty much continued from how the first half ended with the Europeans still in the control of the game.

Britain's goalkeeper Craig McClelland's MVP performance led to him making crucial saves, especially six one-on-one saves in the first half to defeat Nigeria 30-20.

Nigeria will now face Andorra in the 6th placement game later on Sunday.
