Nigeria’s Chukwuebuka Enekwechi delivered a commanding performance to win the men’s shot put event at the Simbine Classic in South Africa, emerging as the only athlete to surpass the 21-metre mark in the competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Enekwechi recorded a winning throw of 21.17 metres, sealing victory ahead of a competitive field.

Italy’s Zane Weir diminished second with a best effort of 20.73 metres, while South Africa’s Aiden Smith placed third with 20.50 metres.

The Nigerian athlete’s throw stood out as the defining mark of the event, underscoring his consistency at elite level competitions and reaffirming his status as one of Africa’s leading shot put contenders.
