English Championship: Injury Keeps Former Flying Eagles Midfielder Out For 3 Months

Former Nigeria's Flying Eagles and Watford FC midfielder, Tom Dele-Bashiru, has been ruled out of action for three months, the English club have confirmed, reports BSNsports.com.ng.

Dele-Bashiru returned to Vicarage Road this summer after a successful loan spell with another championship club Readings FC last season.

The team boss Rob Edwards confirmed his injury on Thursday while he also wished the skillful midfielder a quick recovery.

"Tom Dele-Bashiru has unfortunately injured his knee and has some ligament damage.

“Tom will be missing for two or three months, which is disappointing. No one wants to be injured, even if it’s a week. Tom has started well, has had a great pre-season and is a great lad working hard and showing lots of quality.

“It’s frustrating to be without him for some time, but mentally he is tough and he has got through it before. We and the club will support him fully and do everything to make sure he comes back stronger," he said.

Dele-Bashiru was part of the Flying Eagles team at the 2019 U20 FIFA World Cup in Poland
