Enugu State To Host 2027 National Sports Festival

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has confirmed Enugu State as the host for the 23rd edition of the National Sports Festival, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Coal City State emerged victorious from a rigorous bidding process, promising to deliver a world-class event when the festival arrives in 2027.

This announcement follows preparations for the 22nd edition of the Games, set to take place in January 2025 in Ogun State.

Ogun is set to host over 15,000 athletes, generating excitement and anticipation throughout the Gateway State.

Honourable Bukola Olopade, former chairman of the Local Organizing Committee and current NSC Director General, expressed confidence that the Ogun Games would set a high standard.

 "Ogun State is poised to deliver a premium tournament, showcasing the best of Nigerian sports.

 "The National Sports Festival is more than a competition; it’s a symbol of unity and excellence. We look forward to Enugu writing the next chapter in this proud tradition."
