Enyimba International are nine times Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions after emerging the 2023 League winners, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Ekene Awazie put the two times African champions ahead in the 39th minute before Nyima Nwagua leveled the scoreline three minutes after the restart of the second half.

The 1-1 score draw means Enyimba International are 2023 NPFL champions and won the cash prize of One Hundred Million naira (N100m) and also picked the CAF Champions League ticket.

The 2021/22 Nigeria n champions, Rivers United despite having the same points (9) with Enyimba dropped to third on the log to represent Nigeria at the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
