Enyimba Unveils Eguma As New Head Coach

In swift reaction hours after Yemi Olarenwaju was shown the exit door by the People's Elephant management, former Rivers United coach Stanley Eguma returns to the dug-out, reports BSNSports.cim.ng.

Recall on Saturday, Enyimba officially announced the termination of Yemi Olarenwaju's contract as Head Coach of the two-time CAF Champions League winners.

This decision comes after a series of disappointing results, with the team managing to secure only one victory in their last 12 matches in both the Nigeria Premier Football League and the Confederation Cup.

Eguma, a long-serving manager in the NPFL, returns to the dug-out more than six months after Rivers United confirmed his departure.

Eguma, who joined the now-defunct Dolphins in 2008, and remained at the helm when the Rivers State government merged Sharks and Dolphins in 2017 to form Rivers United, will be hoping to change the narratives at Enyimba when he resumes duties.
