Enyimba Won't Disappoint Nigerians In African Football League Outing - Striker

Enyimba FC forward, Awazie Ekene has expressed his satisfaction ahead of the NIgerian champions clash against Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca, in the African Football League (AFL) on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The fast and pacy forward who featured in the people's Elephant 3-2 win over Akwa United last Sunday, as they secures their first win of the season.
While speaking in an exclusive interview with BSNSports.com.ng reports, on Wednesday, Ekene revealed that the last game against Akwa United was a intense one, but glad that they picked three points.
" Our last game against Akwa United was an intense game, " Ekene told BSNSports.
" It was a game we really needed to win, but at the end we were able to get the three points, which was also our first win of the season."
" So, we needed it to move ahead of the AFL competition coming up on Sunday, " he explained.
The former FC Ifeanyiubah man also praised the performance of the team in their 3-2 home win over Akwa United, says it was solid game and a deserved win.
"I'm really happy for the way we performed in the game, " Ekene said.
" Because, we gave our all despite leading 2-0, and allowed them to got back to levelled it 2-2, but at the end we found a way to score the third goal which secured us the victory."
The forward, who is one of the Top player in the Finidi George led team expressed hopes ahead of Sunday's clash against Wydad Casablanca, says they are in the competition to represent the country and to give their all.
" It's going to be a tough game against Wydad Casablanca on Sunday."
" But, definitely, we will have to play well as a team in other to have any chance of winning the game. But I trust in the players we have and what we can achieve, so our fans should expect a good performance from us on Sunday," he concludes.
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Enyimba FC will be hoping to begin their African Football League (AFL) campaign with a victory, when they play host to the Moroccan giants, on Sunday, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
