By Admin
Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has made slight changes to Nigeria’s senior national team roster ahead of their upcoming international friendly against Russia, scheduled for June 6, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Super Eagles have just concluded their participation in the Unity Cup in England, where they emerged victorious. The team defeated Ghana 2-1 in their opening match and edged Jamaica 5-4 in a penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw in regulation time to claim the title.
Ahead of their next engagement, Chelle has restructured the squad, incorporating new names not featured in the Unity Cup tournament. The updated list includes three additions: Saviour Isaac, Ismaila Sodiq, and Sikiru Alimi.
While Isaac is making his first appearance in this international window, both Sodiq and Alimi were involved in the Unity Cup campaign. Notably, Sodiq played the full 90 minutes in both matches.
The team is now set to travel to Russia as they continue preparations for upcoming competitive fixtures.
The international friendly game will hold on Friday 6th June, 2025 at the Luzhinki Stadium in Moscow
