Eswatini To Host 2027 CAA Congress As New President Set To Emerge

The Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) has confirmed that its 31st Congress will take place on March 19, 2027, in Mbabane, Eswatini, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The high-level gathering will bring together athletics administrators, officials, and stakeholders from across Africa to deliberate on major issues surrounding the growth, governance, and future development of athletics on the continent.
Prior to the congress, the CAA Council will hold a meeting on March 18, 2027, where members will vote to elect a new president of the continental athletics governing body.
The upcoming presidential election is expected to mark a significant moment for African athletics, with the newly elected leader tasked with guiding the CAA into a new era and driving the continued progress of the sport across the continent.
