Some Super Eagles stars who were overlooked by Jose Peseiro in the latest invited squad versus Sierra Leone come together to thrill fans and show that they have what it takes to play for the Nigeria national team, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The 11 omitted players come together to engage in a warm-up game against Box-to-Box FC at the Legacy Pitch of National Stadium Surulere, Lagos.

The Nigerian players includes; Paul Onuachu (Southampton), David Okereke (Cremonese), Chigozie Awaziem (Boavista), John Ogu (Maccabi Jaffa)

Others are; Samuel Kalu (Watford), Afeez Aremu (St Pauli), Ogehenekaro Etebo (Watford), Sodiq (GK), Akpudje Joshua (Jablonec) Henry Onyekuru (Olympiakos). Ariyo Igbayilola, the organiser of the friendly game said he was satisfied with the performance of the players.

Not allowing their ommission weigh them down, the players seized the opportunity to showcase their abilities and prove that they were just as talented as their counterparts who are invited. The crop of players involved in the friendly match serves as a reminder that Nigeria is blessed with pool of talented players and highlight the depth and competitiveness within Super Eagles squad.
