Nigerian and KRC Genk forward Tolu Arokodare has spoken out about the fans' reactions towards him anytime the team fails to perform well, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Tolu was the hero on Thursday night in the Europa Conference League qualifier as he came in the 71st minute and netted an equalizer against Adana Demirspor.

The Limburger ended up winning the first leg tie 2-1 but Tolu felt disappointed about the fans reactions towards him.

"It was very important for me because I needed the confidence back," he said after the game.

"I'm a professional so I always have to be at my best, but I'm only human. I've made mistakes, sometimes we have an off day."

"A lot of emotions came up in my head. You play one or two bad games and they tear you down.

"That's very difficult. When you score, suddenly everyone is your friend. It's my job to score goals, I always go to the limit when I'm on the field."

"I know sometimes it seems like I'm not doing my best, but I'm just trying to do my job", he reacted.
