As the 2023/2024 UEFA Europa League is set to kick off on Thursday, the Belgian Jupiler League side KAA Gent is set to unleash another Nigeria forward Goodluck Igbokwe on the competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 21-year-old winger joined Gent's reserved side otherwise known as Jong Gent from Nigeria, Umuahia-based outfit, Right2win Sports Club, a few years ago.

Igbokwe has played for the first team only in the preseason game but is likely to play his first competitive game in the Europa League match against Zorya on Thursday.

The team manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck listed Igbokwe among the players that will prosecute the match against the Ukrainian side.

The Belgian side used the same tournament to announce youngster Gift Emmanuel Orban last season.
