Europa League: Balogun Outlines How Rangers Can Edge Fenerbahce

Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Rangers defender, Leon Balogun, has emphasized the crucial steps his team must take to achieve a positive result against Fenerbahce, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Balogun, who is expected to be fit for Thursday’s clash in Istanbul, stressed the importance of making significant improvements ahead of the game.

“It’s a big opportunity for us on Thursday, playing away. It might work in our favour that we have the first leg away, especially after recent domestic results, and it could help get the supporters back on our side,” Balogun told the Belfast Telegraph.

“But we need to take at least two massive steps forward from today if we want to get a result there.

“It also helps that we play European football again shortly after, just a week later. So, it’s a huge chance and a massive opportunity for us.”

Fenerbahce will host the first leg at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium in Istanbul.
