Europa League: Dessers Proud Of Rangers Effort, Disappointed With Loss Against Man United

Nigeria's Super Eagles and Rangers striker Cyril Dessers expressed pride in his team's performance against Manchester United but shared his disappointment over the result, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Rangers were defeated 2-1 by the Red Devils in their UEFA Europa League clash at Old Trafford on Thursday.

The 30-year-old acknowledged that while the outcome was tough to accept, the team must move forward.

“It’s difficult to take, especially after the emotional rollercoaster at the end,” Dessers said.

“At first, you feel like you're going to leave with a point from Old Trafford, then you let it slip, and that’s painful.”

He also praised his team’s resilience despite challenges: “I think we can be very proud of the performance. We came here with a team already dealing with a few injuries, and we picked up even more during the game.”
