Europa League: Iheanacho Pens Emotional Note To Celtic Fans

Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed his gratitude to Celtic supporters after netting his first European goal for the club in their 1-1 draw against Red Star Belgrade, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Super Eagles forward was introduced at half-time on Wednesday night and wasted no time making his mark, firing home in the 55th minute to hand Celtic the lead in a charged Belgrade atmosphere.

However, Marko Arnautović struck later to ensure Brendan Rodgers’ men had to settle for a point in their UEFA Europa League opener.

Taking to Instagram after the clash, Iheanacho shared his emotions: “European nights!! Gutted we didn’t get the win tonight, we go again next week. Thank you to our amazing fans for the support.”
