Germany is set to cap another Nigerian-born talent, this time at the junior level, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Over the years, several players of Nigerian descent, such as Kevin Akpoguma and Jordan Torunarigha, have featured for Germany’s youth teams before later switching allegiance to Nigeria.

On Wednesday afternoon, the German Football Association extended an invitation to Noah Atubolu, a promising goalkeeper of Nigerian heritage, to join the U20 squad for the upcoming European Championship.

Born in Uromi, Esan, Nigeria, to Nigerian parents, Atubolu was raised in Germany and has risen through the ranks with impressive performances.

He was one of SC Freiburg’s standout players this season, earning recognition for his consistent displays.
