In 2024, Tripple 44 Academy reinforced its status as a hub for exceptional football talent, with four players successfully transferred to the Swedish league under the visionary leadership of its President and Sporting Director, Samuel Olatunji Okuku, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The transfers included Prince Amos to Norby IF and Ozor Okeke to IF Elfsborg.

Two other players also secured moves to Swedish clubs, but Tripple 44 Academy, alongside the receiving clubs, chose to keep the details of their transfers confidential.

These developments reflect the academy's structured approach to player development and the growing confidence European clubs have in its system.

In 2023, Tripple 44 Academy made history as the only Nigerian academy with three players in the U-17 squad, despite Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Ajibola Usman Owoyemi featured prominently, playing all four matches for the Nigerian U-17 team, including their quarter-final loss to Burkina Faso.

Another academy player, Abel Ogwuche, showcased his talent at the U-20 level, contributing to Nigeria’s third-place finish at the U-20 AFCON and later playing a crucial role in the Flying Eagles' quarter-final run at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

At the ongoing scouting program organized by Tripple 44 in Ibadan, European club officials, including representatives from IF Elfsborg, Trelleborg, and IFK Göteborg, lauded Samuel Olatunji Okuku’s exceptional work.

They praised his unique dual role as president and sporting director, which has established Tripple 44 as a consistent producer of well-rounded players ready for the global stage.

Robin Asterhed, the current Värnamo Head Coach and former Malmö FF Chief Scout noted: "Samuel’s approach to player development is both innovative and methodical.
