Evans Ogenyi Beats Mexican, Ghanaians, and 28 Others For Kano Pillars Job

FA Cup winning coach with Ocean Boys of Brass, Evans Ogenyi has emerged as the new Technical Adviser of relegated Kano Pillars, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ogenyi's resume stood out best among the 31 applicants that applied for the top Sai Masu Gida job, as they seek to begin life in the Nigeria National League (NNL) and earn promotion to the elite division at the end of the 2022/23 season.

The Benue State-born coach was said to have beaten a Mexican, two Ghanaians, one Ivorian, Togolese and nine other foreigners (whose identities were not made known) plus his Nigerian colleagues who made up the 31 applicants.

Ogenyi's unveiling was said to be underway at the Kano State Sports Commission under the Acting Chairmanship of former Nigeria Football Federation President Dr Ibrahim Galadima.
