Evelyn Ijeh Dumps Nigeria For Sweden National Team

Former Super Falcons invitee, Evelyn Ijeh has been called up to the Sweden Senior women national team, to be part of the team's training trip to Portugal ahead of their FIFA Women's World Cup preparations, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Her father and former Super Eagles striker, elated Peter Ijeh made this known on his Facebook page. The post reads, "Evelyn Ijeh invited to the Swedish Senior National Team to camp in Portugal . “What Jehovah Can’t Do doesn’t exist” @Coach Peter Ijeh

Meanwhile, Peter had expressed his satisfaction when his two daughters Evelyn and Josephine were invited to the Super Falcons in 2021.

Evelyn Ijeh who presently plays for Vaxjo DFF in Sweden top women's Division League was in 2021 invited to the Super Falcons and was part of the team's trip to Vienna, Austria. 

Ijeh, 21, trained with the nine-time African Champions in their eight-day training camp in Vienna, Austria after she was handed a surprise call up alongside her younger sibling Josephine.

Like Nigeria, Sweden qualified for the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia. Sweden are in group G with Italy, South Africa and Argentina.
