According to En Son Haber, Everton are interested in Fenerbahce right-back Bright Osayi-Samuel as a replacement for club captain Seamus Coleman, BSNSports.com.ng gathered.
The 24-year-old, who is reportedly valued at €6million, has only been in Turkey for a season, having previously played in England for QPR and Blackpool.
The Nigerian is a versatile player, having featured for the Istanbul giants as a right-sided full-back and a wide-midfielder on both flanks.
His switch to the defence has apparently precipitated a major improvement in form that according to the report has produced “the best right-back performance in the leagueâ€.
Fenerbahce reportedly want to make a profit on him, but Frank Lampard “personally admires†him and will make a bid in the summer.
The En Son Haber report claims that “if everything goes well†he would replace 33-year-old Coleman at Goodison.
If Osayi-Samuel is available for a low price like suggested then he could be an asset, especially considering Lampard seems to value versatility when he switches between formations.
A lone season in Turkey has produced 42 appearances, two goals and five assists, as his club ended with a third-placed finish, so he may be worth following up.
