Ex-Eagles Star Odemwingie Reacts To Osimhen’s Decision To Stay At Galatasaray

Former Super Eagles forward Osaze Odemwingie has shared his thoughts on Victor Osimhen’s decision to remain with Galatasaray despite reported interest from top European clubs, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Osimhen recently confirmed he will continue with the Turkish giants, choosing stability over a potential big-money move. Reacting to the news, Odemwingie expressed his disappointment but acknowledged the striker’s right to make his own career choices.

"He’s one of the best in his position right now and clearly at the top of his game,” Odemwingie told Africanfoot. 

“But if you want to make a real mark, you have to do it at the highest level and for me, that’s the Premier League.”

“Osimhen is the kind of player who could walk into any team in England. That’s the kind of football that brings out the best in him. Given the season he had, staying in Turkey feels like a step backwards.”

“It’s disappointing because he knows he’s capable of more. But at the end of the day, it’s his decision and maybe he made it after weighing all the factors.”

 “We have to respect that and just hope things go well for him because he’s an outstanding talent.”
