Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Andrew Aikhoumogbe has urged coach Jose Peseiro to give Adebayo Adeleye more playing opportunities in the team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In the absence of Francis Uzoho and Maduka Okoye, the Hapoel Jerusalem goalkeeper was in goal in the game against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Liberia.

Despite conceding 2 goals, many football fans across the country applauded Adeleye for his amazing performance in the encounter in the game Nigeria won 2-3.

"I was impressed with the way he behaved even though he was making his debut.

"His aerial ability is another aspect I liked about him and I think he (José Peseiro) should give him another chance against Sao Tome.

"Adeleye will give Uzoho, Okoye, and others in the team a hard time,” he said.
