The proposed Presidential Support Group (PSG) will be set up in a bid to forestall the possibility of missing out on the World Cup for the second consecutive time. President Tinubu this approved the establishment of PSG whose budget is captured in the 2025 budget. PSG will consist of high powered persons tasked with galvanizing resources, providing administrative support and implementing strategies to strengthen the Super Eagles campaign.
Sitting fifth on the log, the three times African champions have endured a poor start to the qualifying campaign after garnering a paltry three points from four games. Super Eagles are yet to win a match in the series so far.
