Exclusive: Flying Eagles 20-man List For WAFU B U20 Unveiled

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) submitted the Flying Eagles 20-man list to the organiser of the 2024 West African Football Union WAFU U20 Championship to be hosted by Togo, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The list which consist of some notable name like; Daniel Daga, Nathaniel Nwosu, Bameiyi Daniel, was compiled by the head coach, Aliyu Zubairu.

 The 20-man list has; Saliu Nasiru, Ayuma Israel, Abdullahi Ibrahim, Oyebanjo Raphael, Alabi Suleiman, Magairi Adamu.

Others are; Igboke Obinna, Aliyu Aruna, Akinfenwa Musa, (Daga Daniel) Sabiu Ibrahim, Harcourt Ebenezer, Nwosu Nathaniel, Adamu Musa, Bameiyi Daniel.

Also, Jephta Degol, Ibrahim Olalekan, Charles Agada, Oliseh Divine, Amole Bidemi, Anerhi Nathaniel made the list. BSN Sports had reported that Daniel Daga whose passport was unavailable has been replaced by Niger Tornadoes midfielder, Sabiu Ibrahim. Five players who are placed on standby will travel with the team on Tuesday.

Nigeria will face Burkina Faso and Cote D'Ivoire in Group B while Group A consist of Ghana, Togo, Niger Niger and Benin Republic.

The regional competition will commence on Thursday, 17th October 2024 when hosts Togo take on Niger at the Kegue Stadium. Nigeria will face Burkina Faso in Group B opener on Friday 20th October, 2024 with last group clash with Cote D'Ivoire six days later.
