FCT SWAN Expresses Disappointment Over Team Nigeria Poor Performance At 2024 Olympics

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) FCT Chapter has frowned at the poor outing of Team Nigeria at the just-concluded 2024 Olympics in France, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Association however commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the unprecedented allocation of 12 billion naira for execution of the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics in Paris.

The FCT SWAN in a communique released in Sunday, 18th August, 2024 denounced subsequent blame games and scapegoating and urged the Ministers of Sports, Senator John Enoh to take full responsibility of the Team Nigeria failure at the 2024 Olympics.

The FCT SWAN further called on the athletes and officials of the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria to pursue excellence with determination and make Nigeria proud through their performance at the upcoming Paralympics.
