FECAFOOT Appoints Interim Coach
Sampson Adedeji
The crises rocking Cameroonian football reached another height on Tuesday and it led to the sacking of the newly appointed Marc Brys, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Sports Ministry in the country in March appointed the Belgian gaffer to succeed Rigobert Song in a decision that did not go down well with the FECAFOOT president Samuel Eto'o.
A truce meeting was organised on Tuesday by the Sports Ministry and FECAFOOT and Brys was also invited.
Before the start of the meeting, several misunderstandings and altercations ensued between several parties.
At the end of the day, Eto'o pronounced the suspension of Brys and appointed an interim manager who will steer the team in the upcoming World Cup qualifier.
Martin Ndtoungou was appointed as the coach and he will be assisted by Pagou David.
The Indomitable Lions will face Cape Verde and Angola in the qualifiers.
