Despite being dismissed as head coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Rigobert Song is still owed eight months' salary, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to Sport News Africa, Song went unpaid for the final eight months of his tenure with the national team. In total, the 48-year-old coach is owed at least €232,000 in salary arrears.

Although he has officially been appointed as the head coach of the Central African Republic, Song has yet to fully close the chapter with Cameroon.

He led the Indomitable Lions from February 2022 to February 2024, but his contract was not renewed by the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) following the team’s elimination in the Round of 16 at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

During his tenure, Song earned €29,000 per month, leaving him with outstanding wages of over 152 million CFA francs.

His assistants, Sébastien Migné and Raymond Kalla, are reportedly facing the same issue.
