FIBA Africa Increases Number Of Teams For Automatic Qualification to BAL

FIBA Africa has increased the number of teams that would qualify automatically to the 2025 Basketball Africa League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The body increased the number from 6 to 8 while 4 teams will qualify from the road to BAL tournament. The 8 automatic spots include; Tunisia, Angola, Senegal, Rwanda, Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa and Morocco. Meanwhile, ahead of the 2025 BAL season, South Africa will host the Playoffs and Finals while there will be a new hosts for two conferences including; Rwanda (Kalahari), Morocco (Nile) and Senegal (Sahara).
