BAL 2024: FIBA Conducts Group Stage Draw

The participants in the Elite 16 of the 2024 edition of the Basketball Africa League (BAL 2024) have completed after going through qualification stages, BSNSports.com.ng reports 

Following the draw ceremony held in Gaborone, Botswana, the clubs qualified for this round of the competition know their opponents for the group stage. 

Fifteen of the sixteen teams from the East and West Divisions were divided into four groups of four teams each with a group having three teams until determination of the last club.

The Armed Forces and Police (FAP) of Cameroon and the Bangui Sporting Club (Central African Republic) are the joint hosts of the West Division Elite 16 which will take place in Yaoundé, Cameroon, from October 31 to November 5.

FIBA ​​Africa further said, the Elite 16 East Division will take place from November 14 to 19 in Johannesburg, South Africa. 

The draw was carried out while group D had not delivered its verdict to determine the last qualified team.  

The competing teams will try to win one of the six places at stake before qualifying for the final phase of the BAL 2024.
