FIBA Women’s World Cup: D’Tigress Face Tough Opposition In Group B

The draws for the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup have been released, with Nigeria’s D’Tigress handed a challenging group, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to FIBA, the reigning African champions have been placed in Group B, where they will face Hungary, Korea, and France in what promises to be a highly competitive group.
D’Tigress secured their qualification for the global tournament after extending their dominance on the continent, winning the FIBA Women's AfroBasket title for a record fifth consecutive time.
Group A will see hosts Germany take on Japan, Spain, and Mali, while Group C comprises Belgium, Australia, Puerto Rico, and Turkey. In Group D, defending powers USA will battle China, Czech Republic, and Italy.
The tournament is expected to bring together the world’s best teams, with Nigeria aiming to make a strong impact despite the tough opposition in their group.
