FIFA Club World Cup: Esperance Includes Former Flying Eagles Star Ogbelu

Tunisian giants Esperance have included former Flying Eagles midfielder Onuche Ogbelu in their 25-man squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 22-year-old has become an integral part of the team since joining from Nigeria Premier Football League side Nasarawa United in September 2023.

Ogbelu recently committed his future to the Blood and Gold, signing a new two-year contract with the club.

He was a member of Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt and also featured at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina the same year.

Esperance is set to kick off their Club World Cup campaign against Brazilian side Flamengo on Tuesday, June 17.
