Despite not securing maximum points in their two recent World Cup qualifiers, Nigeria’s Super Eagles have moved up one place in the latest FIFA rankings, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The three-time African champions earned a full three points against Rwanda’s Amavubi but managed only a draw against Zimbabwe’s Warriors.

As a result, Nigeria climbed from 44th to 43rd in the global rankings, as revealed in the latest update released on Thursday morning.

However, despite this slight improvement, the Super Eagles have dropped out of Africa’s top five teams.

Africa’s Top 10 Rankings: 1. Morocco 2. Senegal 3. Egypt 4. Algeria 5. Ivory Coast 6. Nigeria 7. Tunisia 8. Cameroon 9. Mali 10. South Africa
