FIFA Rankings: Nigeria Rated 30th In The World, 3rd In Africa

Nigeria has moved up two places to 30th in the latest FIFA Ranking released by the world football governing body on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles were rated 32nd in the last FIFA ranking in February.
Despite an early exit from the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, the Super Eagles put up a commanding display during the group stages, collecting all available nine points and pushed Tunisia all the way befrore crashing out in the Round of 16. The team also failed to pick the FIFA World Cup ticket on March 29 after Ghana edged Nigeria on away goal rule.
The team currently led by Jose Paseiro lost their first international friendly match 1-2 under the Portuguese to the 10th rated Mexico last week and will face Ecuador on Thursday night.
AFCON winners, Senegal remains the best team rated 20th in the World followed by Morocco (24), Nigeria (30), Egypt (32) Cameroon (37) make the top five in Africa.
Globally, Brazil overtook Belgium to become the number one and are followed by Belgium, France, Argentina, England, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Mexico and Netherlands in the Top 10.
