FIFA Rankings: Super Eagles Climb Four Places, Reclaim Spot In Africa's Top Five

The Super Eagles' back-to-back wins in the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers have paid off, with the team rising in the latest FIFA rankings, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
Following victories over Lesotho and Benin in matchdays 9 and 10 of the qualifiers, Nigeria finished second behind South Africa in their group.
As per FIFA's most recent ranking, the Super Eagles have moved up from 45th to 41st in the world, making a strong return to the top five in Africa.

3. Egypt
4. Algeria
5. Nigeria
6. Ivory Coast
7. Tunisia
8. Mali
9. Cameroon
10. South Africa
Super Eagles next matches come up next month in the FIFA world cup playoffs in Morocco where three others including Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo and Gabon are also participants.
