FIFA Rankings: Super Eagles Ranked 44th Globally, 5th In Africa

FIFA on Thursday released its latest world rankings for July, with Nigeria’s Super Eagles positioned 44th globally, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The three-time African champions accumulated 1,484.26 points, securing a spot among the top 50 footballing nations worldwide.

In Africa, Nigeria ranks 5th, trailing behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria. Notably, reigning African champions Ivory Coast have dropped to 6th on the continent.

The rest of Africa’s top 10 includes Tunisia, Cameroon, Mali, and South Africa.

The Super Eagles will look to improve their position when the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers resume in September. The next FIFA rankings are scheduled for release on September 18.
