FIFA has continued its crackdown on clubs that neglect player welfare, particularly regarding unpaid wages, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

North African clubs have frequently come under scrutiny for failing to pay players on time, and the global football governing body has not hesitated to impose sanctions.

The latest to face FIFA’s disciplinary action is Tunisian side US Ben Guerdane.

The club has been sanctioned following its failure to pay outstanding wages to Nigerian midfielder Idriss Kabiru.

As a result, FIFA announced on Wednesday that US Ben Guerdane will be under a transfer ban until the debt owed to the Nigerian international is fully settled.
