FIFA U-20: Flying Eagles Start Final Preparations For Brazil, Italy

Nigeria's U-20 national team nicknamed the Flying Eagles kick off the final phase of preparations as part of the build-up for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Recall we reported the team's departure from Nigeria on Saturday 6th of May, as head coach Ladan Bosso, the Technical crew, and players embarked on the trip to South America for the global showpiece.

The team is currently in the capital city, Buenos Aires, where they'll remain for a week before departing to Mendoza, the venue for their group stage games.

The Nigeria Football Federation via her official handle made the team's current status known, in a show of support for the two-time runner-ups (1989 & 2005), with sight set on going all the way in Argentina.

On Twitter, the caption read: "Up and running 🦅. The 🇳🇬Flying Eagles have started their final leg of preparation for the @FIFAcom #FIFAU20WorldCup with a light training session.

"The team will be in Buenos Aires for a week before departing to Mendoza where they will play their group games.

#SoarFlyingEagles"

The team's head coach, Ladan Bosso has been full of expectations for his side, especially in the goalscoring aspect, as he boasts of a better showing on the World stage.

"Remember Egypt out of six matches, we scored eight goals, conceded only two, and with that, we were the second highest scoring team.

"We have refined attackers in our team now, meaning we should expect a better performance than what we saw in Egypt,"

The Flying Eagles are booked alongside Brazil, Dominican Republic, and Italy in Group D, out of six groups, with the top two teams from each group and the four best third-placed teams, advancing to the round of 16.
