FIFA U-20 World Cup: How Flying Eagles Rated In Victory Over Argentina

Flying Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday night shocked Argentina with a 2-0 win in the Round of 16 of the FIFA U20 World Cup to qualify for the quarter-final of the competition, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The Ladan Bosso led boys were well-coordinated in the midfield, defensively and got it right in front of goal post to post an unbelievable performance in front of the Argentines (the home crowd).
This is how the players were rated after Wednesday splendid display.
CHIJIOKE ANIAGBOSO 8/10
The goalkeeper composed himself and made good saves in the game and also contributed to the two goals scored by the Flying Eagles.
DANIEL BAMEYI 8/10
After not-too-convincing performance at the centrr-back, he was moved to the right-back position again after the 2-0 defeat to Brazil. Contributed to the attack and defended very well to disallow the Argentines the opportunity to penetrate through the denfense
BENJAMIN FREDERICK 7/10
A very calm and calculative defender. Proved his class with another solid showing in central defence.
ABEL OGWUCHE 7/10
The Trelleborgs FF of Sweden defender is having a good tournament. Another good performance from the centre-back.
SOLOMON AGBALAKA 7/10
Probably his best performance of the competition so far. Performed his defensive duties well and also contributed to the attack.
DANIEL DAGA 9/10
Nigeria’s best performer on the night. He was a delight to watch all through.
SAMSON LAWAL 7/10
Worked real hard in midfield to keep the Argentines at bay.
TOCHUKWU NNADI 7/10
He was selected ahead of Victor Eletu and didn’t disappoint his coaches. His well-calculated approach to the ball broke the deadly plans of the Argentines.
IBRAHIM MUHAMMED 7/10
The versatile winger scored his first goal of the tournament. An improved performance from previous games.
JUDE SUNDAY 5/10
A poor performance from the winger. He was duly replaced early in the second half by the effective Haliru Sarki.
SALIM FAGO 5/10
Ineffective as usual. The forward was replaced by Emmanuel Umeh early in the second half.

Umeh set up Ibrahim Muhammed for the opener with a delight pass. He also troubled the hosts defence with his power and pace.
