FIFA U17 WWC: NFF President To Arrive India Ahead Flamingos Versus Colombia Semifinal Tie

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Ibrahim Gusau has promised to arrive in India on Tuesday to boost morale of the Flamingos in their final ticket clash against Colombia, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The Nigeria U17 Women's national team on Friday defeated competition favourite, USA 4-3 on penalties in the quarterfinal to earn their first semifinal berth.

Ibrahim Gusau during a conversation with the players and officials promsed to be in India on Tuesday to give a morale boosting support to the Bankole Olowookere led team.

“Congrat! I promise, I will be with you on Tuesday by the grace of God. Thank you very much for this hard earned victory. Everybody is happy with you in Nigeria” he said in a video chat with the girls

Colombia who defeated Tanzania in the quarterfinal will face Nigeria in the semi-final on Wednesday, 26th October, 2022

Carlos Paniagua's girls who finished as runners-up in the U17 CONMEBOL Championship has already had its best run in the tournament by making it to the semifinal. Nigeria however, is playing in the semi-final stage for the first time in the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup tournament.
