FIFA U17 WWC: Nigeria Battles USA In Quarter-Final On Friday

After going past Chile to secure a quarter-final ticket, it will be a hard nut to crack for Nigeria's Flamingos as they battle United States of America (USA) for a place in the semi-finals, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The quarter-final clash is billed for Friday, October 21 in Mumbai at 12pm Nigeria time.

It was history for USA after they made it past the group stage in the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup for the first time since 2008.

The USA women's team thrashed African side Morocco 4-0 in their last group game on Monday.

USA finished top of Group A with 7points, recording two wins, a draw, scoring 13 goals and conceded just a goal.

This statistics ranks them among the best attacking and defending team in the tournament.

Meanwhile, it will be an interesting tie between two big guns as Germany will take on Brazil for a place in the last four.

Nigeria have qualified for the quarterfinal four times since the competition began.
