Nigeria's Women U17 team, Flamingoes have been drawn to face Egypt in the final rounds of the FIFA U17 Women World Cup qualifier, BSNsports.com.ng can report.


The Nigeria side proved too much for their counterparts from DR Congo on Saturday after thrashing them 5-0 at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Edo State.


The result means that Flamingoes progressed to the final round of the qualifier on 8-0 aggregates where they will face Egypt for a place in India 2022.


Meanwhile, the deputy governor of the state, Philip Shuaib, showered the team with cash after the game to motivate them for the next match.


He gave a million naira to the team for their amazing performance and dedication.


The game against Egypt is scheduled for April with the winner over the two legs secure passage to the competition in India.
