FIFA U17 Women World Cup: Flamingoes Captain Warns Quarterfinal Opponents

The skipper of Nigeria's Flamingoes Alvine Dah Zossu has said she's proud of the team's performance in India amd warned their next opponents in the quarter final to be wary of Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Despite suffering a 1-2 defeat to Germany in the opening group match, the Nigeria ladies did enough to reach the quarter-final of the tournament.

They succeeded in beating Chile 2-1 in the final group match played on Monday after a 4-0 humiliation of New Zealand in second group game.

While reacting to the result, Zossu said they will go all out against their quarterfinal opponents on Friday.

The Nigeria U17 Women's team will face USA on Friday.

" I'm proud of my team for what we have achieved so far (quarter-final spot ), we won't rest until we achieve our goals. Knock out stage is never an easy one but we are going all out on Friday to give our best", she said.

The Nigeria side will be back in action on Friday when they face the United States in the quarter-final of the World Cup.
