FIFA U17 Women World Cup: Flamingoes Suffer Defeat Against Fenerbahce

The unbeaten run of Nigeria's U17 Women's team Flamingoes came to a halt in Turkey after they suffered defeat in their final group game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Flamingoes have been the cynosure of all eyes since their resumption in camp as they secured an emphatic win and a draw throughout their qualifying campaign.

They surprisingly defeated Galatasaray Women team 1-3 in Kocaeli last Saturday.

They had their final friendly match in Turkey on Tuesday and it ended in defeat for the Nigeria side against Fenerbahce women.

Busan and Seeker gave the Fenerbahce women team the lead in the 35th and 80th minutes, before impressive forward Etim Edidong reduced the deficit by scoring in the 90th minute.

Nina Kpaho sealed the win for the host in the 93rd minute and handed Nigeria a 3-1 defeat.
