FIFA U17 Women World Cup: We Will Not Be Intimidated By Fans - Flamingoes Defender

Ahead of the 2022 FIFA U17 Women World Cup in India, Flamingoes defender Adeshina Oluwatumininu has said they will not be intimidated by the presence of fans, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The team under coach Bankole Olowookere departed the country on Monday for Turkey to continue their preparations for the competition.

Adeshina said before their departure that though this is their first international competition but having witnessed the presence of fans during the qualifiers, they surely were not deterred.

"We are going for 9 points in the group stage because we can do it.

"The presence of a crowd will not affect us much because we've seen fans during the qualifier.

" I'm going there to play and support the team as a defender, I will play and defend well", she said.

Nigeria will play their opening group game against Germany in Goa.
