FIFA U17 Women's World Cup: Colombia Thrash Tanzania, Battles Nigeria In Semi-Final

The semi-final opponent of Nigeria's Flamingos has been confirmed as Colombia who thrashed Tanzania in the 3rd quarter-final, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Colombia on Saturday defeated the East Africans 3-0 with first-half goals from Linda Caicedo, Yesica Munoz and Gabriele Rodriguez ensuring a comfortable win for the South American country.

Tanzania surprised all the bookmakers by reaching the quarter-final of the competition on their first attempt.

Colombia will now confront Nigeria's Flamingos in the semi-final of the competition on Wednesday.

Flamingos on its part defeated the United States 4-3 via a penalty shoot-out after their game ended 1-1 in regulation time.
