FIFA U17 Women's World Cup: Flamingoes Arrive in Mumbai For USA Clash

In preparation for the quarter-final match against the United States, Nigeria's Flamingoes has landed in Mumbai the venue of the match, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Despite losing the opening group game against Germany, Flamingoes bounced back strongly in the second match beating New Zealand 4-0 before winning the third match 2-1 against Chile.

The United States team defeated host India 8-0 and played 1-1 with Brazil before thrashing Morocco 4-0 in the final group match.

Flamingoes arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday and the skipper Alvine Dah Zossu is already eyeing a good outing against the Americans.

" We arrived in Mumbai today ahead of our quarter-final match against the USA on Friday. 

"As a team, we are focused and determined to go beyond this stage. Good things don't come easily, we will continue to work hard till we achieve our goal", she said.
