FIFA U17 World Cup: France Bundle Out African Champion

African champion Junior Teranga Lions of Senegal has been bundled out of the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup in Indonesia, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Senegalese were favourite playing against the 2001 champions but they never made their favorite tag count as they suffered the defeat via a penalty shoot-out.

France dominated the first stanza of the game and put the Senegalese under control but they were unable to score against them.

The African champion came out smoking in the second half and they were able to force the France goalkeeper into numerous saves.

After both sides failed to get a needed goal for the entire duration of the game including extra time they settled for a penalty shoot and it was France that prevailed 5-3.
