FIFA U17 World Cup: Germany Announces Strong Team For Flamingoes

Ahead of the 2022 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup, the head coach of Germany team Friederike Kromp has released a list of 21 players for the tournament, BSNSports.com.ng understands. 

After two successful European Championship qualifying tournaments and winning the European U17 Championship in May, the German team is now one of three European teams travelling to the World Cup in India.

The coach said their target is to remain in India until the end of the competition.

 "We're looking forward to being able to measure ourselves against the best teams on all continents.

"Our goal for the World Cup is clear, we want to maximize the time we have together in India and stay in the tournament until the end. 

" To do this, we need to find each other again quickly and get used to the local conditions in a short time", she said.

Germany will confront the Flamingoes of Nigeria in the opening group game on October 14th in Goa before facing Chile and New Zealand later in the competition.
