FIFA U20: Ogbwuche Targets Final Ahead Of Brazil, Italy

Flying Eagles rock-solid center-half, Ogbwuche Abel says the duo of Brazil and Italy don't scare the team, but Nigeria is in a tough group in the FIFA U20 World Cup.

Ogbwuche in a chat with BSNSports.com.ng in Abuja also informed that the Flying Eagles target is to reach the final.

It's a few weeks to the FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina, any expectations from the Flying Eagles?

We expect positive results, we're going to Argentina not to make up the number but to participate and reach the semifinals at least.

What comes to your mind seeing Brazil and Italy in the same group?

Well, what came to my mind is that we are a very tough group and have more work to do. Brazil is a big side, and so is Italy. So we have a lot to do

What can the team do to change the perception of Nigerians?

Going with what our coaches have been teaching us, we are working harder, to improve, and get positive results.

Personal targets at the World Cup?

To reach the semifinals, or the finals.

Nigeria has been to the final twice in 1989 (Saudi Arabia), and 2005 (Holland), do you see this set beating the record?

Of course, I remain positive. And with our hard work, we can.

What teams are obstacles?

Every single team in the competition can be an obstacle. We are not looking down on any of the teams. No team is big or small. We will approach every team the same way.
