FIFA U20 Women's World Cup: Falconets To Observe One Week Break

The Nigeria U20 women's national team, the Falconets, will observe a week break after three weeks camping in preparation for the FIFA U20 World Cup holding in Colombia, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

www.bsnsports.com.ng gathered from their camp in Abuja that the team which resumed camping on 7th July will at the end of the month embark on a break and resume back on 7th August, 2024.

"The NFF said we should go on a week break, starting from end of this month till 7th August." A source from the camp informed BSN Sports.

"We resumed camping on 7th July and just three weeks in camp, we will  go on a break when we are supposed to be playing international friendly matches in preparation for the world cup." This, without a doubt, will affect our performance at the world cup.

Nigeria are drawn in Group D with Germany, Venezuela, and Korea Republic.

The Falconets will kick off their World Cup campaign in Group D with an encounter against Korea Republic on 1st September at the El Techo Stadium in Bogota at 18:00pm

On 4th September, Germany will host Nigeria in the second group game at 5pm at the same venue. 

The last group game will see Nigeria taking on Venezuela on 7th September in Cali at 3pm
